To become a unique person
There are so many ways that you can become a unique person. My definition of being a unique person is to find a true self and love and accept just the way you are. It may take time to love just the way you are, but you should always know that you have people who love you the way you are. If you have a friend who is self-conscious, you can always help them. As a Christain who attends a Christain school, I want my friends to truly care and help each other when they find one struggling. For this, I have designed a small campaign for the upcoming school year.
The campaign is called Secret Messengers
A person can give a note to anyone around the school campus (you can give notes to several people). However, the content of the note should not include anything mean or vulgar; you can only write truthful compliments or encouragements after thoroughly thinking about the special qualities of that person. This campaign will last for two weeks, and then the week following, after the Chapel, we will have time to discuss how messengers felt by saying warm things and ask how people who received the notes felt.
However, you never can expect others to love you when you cannot love yourself. You may not like the way you look or the way you act. Everyone has flaws and it is so natural. You do not need to hide your weaknesses, and I do not recommend you to try to fix them in a day. There are two ways: enhancing other parts you love and overcome your flaws or directly to face them. Suppose you do not like your height. One, let's say you love your personalities and unique fashion sense. You can highlight those parts of you. It will help you feel more confident and not focusing on your height. Two, you can ignore what others say about your height or your negative thoughts, and keep telling yourself that you are perfect just the way you are. Of course, it is going to be hard for you to face it, first. However, as time goes by and you start to accept yourself, you will find yourself changing and thinking positively.
